As many of you may know, our beloved sister hostess SHARON DONOVAN, tragically passed away on 11th April 2012. We who knew her, loved her, and were inspired by her courage and determination to face head on whatever life threw at her. When she could no longer see to paint she turned to writing and showed her amazing talent in the Inspirational Romance and Romantic Suspense genres, and her story 'Charade Of Hearts' was awarded the coveted Predators and Editors Award in January 2011.

This Blog was a source of great delight to her, she was one of the founder hostesses and she contributed to the fun and silliness in her own original way, and was kind enough to let her unique creation, the hunky butler 'Oliver' join us for our Friday romp and prepare 'virtual breakfast' for the guests on the following morning. It's beyond hard to have to go on without her, but we know that she would have been the first to insist that 'the show must go on.' She is, and will always be with us in spirit.
Sharon, dear friend, we will never forget you.
The Author Roast and Toast is part of the legacy you left us. Let's raise a Toast to you as well as all our guests.

Author Roast & Toast: Tribute to Sharon

A year and a day ago, on the 11th March 2012, we lost our dear friend and sister hostess, the talented  Sharon Donovan. If you would like to see the tribute we made for her, here is the link

Author Roast & Toast: Tribute to Sharon

She lives on in our hearts and in her books - and in the wonderful character she created, the hunky 'Oliver' who was her virtual butler by day -  and by night a private detective -starring  in 'Charade of Hearts' and 'Kiss Of Death', and who she kindly allowed to 'moonlight' at the Roast.

We love you Sharon

  2. Hi Sue - I know, I can't believe it's a year either. I miss Sharon every day, her delightful sense of humour, her cheery emails, the sparkle she brought to the Roast- it makes me said to think of the friend we've lost, but her suffering is over, and in Heaven she can see! One thing's for certain, she won't be forgotten!
