In accordance with the rules, we have to nominate other blogs for this award and this is VERY hard.
However, these are the names chosen out of Oliver's Sunday best hat:
SKY PURINGTON
A wonderful paranormal author, who has not only been a Guest Of Honour at the Roast several times, and is a great supporter, but is also wonderfully generous in her support of other authors. She hosts blog hops and guest spots on a regular basis, offering great prizes, on her blog 'A Writer's Mind'.
PAULA MARTIN
A UK author who again has guested on this blog and is a great supporter and commenter. Her 'Pot-pourri' blog is well named, a great mix of a variety of fascinating posts.
CALISA RHOSE
Again a frequent supporter and commenter and recently a Guest of Honour at the Roast. She again is a great supporter of other authors, as well as being a wonderful editor, and her blog 'Pen Of The Dreamer' which goes up on Tuesdays, showcases a different author every week.
Of course we also have to award another star to our inspiring sister hostess MAC CROWNE for her courage and generosity in promoting other authors and in particular for raising awareness of breast cancer and how to spot the early symptoms.
There are so many wonderful bloggers out there who comment and have been guests of honour at our Author Roast parties and are all worthy of the honour, and it's been almost impossible to choose just a few, so we hope everyone else will understand and not be upset that they weren't chosen - if we could nominate you all, we would, but that would take several days and we have to prepare the party for our next guest, Beth Trissel for this coming Friday 11th January.
The ‘rules’ for the award are simple:
1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award
2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.
3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award –http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them
5 You can now also join our Facebook page – click the link here ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/BlogoftheYear/ and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…
There are a total of “6” stars to collect. Which means that you can checks out your favorite blogs—and even if they have already been given the award by someone else—you can still make your opinion count and pass it on to them again and help them (or me) reach the maximum of “6” stars.
Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!
You begin with the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!
There are a total of 6 stars to collect.
Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!
