"Lyn, if I drove any slower we'd be stopped." Mary chuckled, happy to be on the way to Tess's mansion. She's just inherited it from her father. No one has been here for a while and they hope to be able to help Tess find her stalker.
The watchtower on the hill overlooks the acres of land around the mansion and a huge black bird perches on it. During the day it was a touching sight, at night, with lightning flashing around it, it is a fearsome sight. Both of them are happy to make it to the front door, where they can see Oliver waiting to guide them in.
As soon as they've made it to the front steps, Mary stops the car and they both make a run for it. Oliver shuts the door behind them and his huge smile is contagious.
From behind him steps Sharon!
Mary and Lyn both start to jump up and down, then Sharon, and finally Oliver. The joyous jumping turns into a massive group hug. Even Oliver has tears of joy glistening at the corner of his eyes.
"I missed you so much dear friends." Sharon's huge smile lights up the area.
"You all look wonderful! My journey has been tough and it's still not over. But I am so happy to see you if just for a day. Thank you sweet sisters, for all you have done." The cloying sweet smell of roses drifts in the air.
Sharon eyes them all. "Mary, did you enhance those babies again. Lyn, I picked these dresses because they cover your, ahem, humongous I mean your well formed feet.
Oliver, you always look wonderful. The garlic ring around your neck is a nice touch, but no one ever said that Tess' stalker is a vampire." Sharon chuckles, the ladies laugh. But Oliver just shrugs, he's a very cautious guy and is a bit scared
"Me, my stay in bed has not helped my rear end any either. But me, I love you all just the way you are."
From the doorway to the left a lovely girl in a long crimson dress approaches. "Girls this is Tess, the one we are here to help."
Tess pushes a large cobweb from her path and walks over to greet them. Another group hug and Tess smiles. "Tess we are here to help you find the stalker." Lyn says gravely.
Tess smiles. "Let me tell you what's going on."
She eyes the black bird on the watchtower she can see out one of the huge windows and shivers. She then escorts them into a large sitting room.
Oliver has cleaned up as best he can. A large table is covered with finger foods. Barbecue chicken, stuffed mushrooms, dips, chips of all kinds, three types of salsa, mead, flutes filled with champagne, and pizza, from which the smell of garlic invades the room. A luscious devils food cake will fill the need for something sweet.
"Watch out for the pizza, Oliver for some reason, thinks the stalker is a vampire, although I really doubt it. So he has loaded the pizza with garlic. But, it can't hurt. As long as we all eat it." Tess laughs nervously. "Some people will be stopping by to help us today. I hope we can find out who it is. I am so afraid. The police don't believe me...Well except maybe the Sheriff."
"Speaking of the devil," Oliver says under his breath. He struts to the table and mixes James Bond martinis. "There is a lot of detective work to be done. This place give me the creeps."
Sharon laughs, "This from a guy who has garlic around his neck. Don't worry dear Oliver, I love you even if you are afraid. And I still wonder where you got the idea the stalker is a vampire." Oliver has been with her so long and she knows him so well.
"Sheriff Mike Andretti, let me introduce you to my friends." Tess obviously smitten with the sheriff, smiles shyly. She wants him to be her heart, to care about her. She wonders if he knows that?
The introductions made they all sit on chairs, loungers and couches about the room. There is a mystery to solve.
Someone with bright red hair was seen in the watchtower using a pair of binoculars, the sheriff explains to them. That's really the only lead they have. Whoever it was could easily see into the large windows of the mansion. And he is very concerned about Tess. The large mansion in New England looks out over the ocean. It was Tess' childhood home and it's awful that she feels afraid to be there. The distant sound of music is barely audible. But the song Midnight Sonata plays sometimes, and everyone else hears it now.
Oliver has seen the ball of fire Tess saw, and it still has him shakin'. Everyone feels the eyes of the stalker tonight.
And so it begins. Will the police finally believe her? Will Mike realize they belong together? Will they find the stalker? Is he a fan of hers? Does she know him. What is that bright light Tess sees?
So many questions, and the answers are surprising. But the person with the best answer to the following question. will win a copy of Her Biggest Fan. Who do you think the stalker is?
BLURB:
From the shadows of the woods, he keeps vigil. The stage is set to drive the pretty little princess
After receiving a disturbing fan letter, New York Times best-selling author Tess Kincaid flees to the New England home she’s inherited following her father’s death. The manor has been tainted, every room staged to resemble the way it was in its glory days. However when Tess calls the police, the chilling props vanish into thin air.
Ruggedly handsome Sheriff Mike Andretti is called to investigate the reported burning candles, dancing gargoyles and otherworldly events. When he discovers no trace of the eerie setting, he finds himself caught between duty and desire. Is the woman with the bewitching green eyes delusional or is this a trap of twisted wit set by a demented fan?
Excerpt
Cool air drifted out of the ballroom, carrying the scent of burning candles and cigarettes.
Music floated through the corridor, the seductive undertone hauntingly familiar. The music was hypnotic, mesmerizing. Tess could barely think over the loud beat of her heart. Every sense screamed to beware. She was about to come face-to-face with her stalker, her biggest fan. But over the hammering of her heart and accelerated senses, her will to put an end to this deadly game prevailed. She had to face him, find out who was behind this bizarre masquerade. Anticipation mounting, she made the turn at the end of the corridor and came to a riveting halt.
A female wax gargoyle stood in the doorway, long blonde hair billowing in the breeze. Her glass eyes shimmered with madness, an eerie smile on her face. In one hand, she held a mission bell, the other reaching out for a candle.
A female wax gargoyle stood in the doorway, long blonde hair billowing in the breeze. Her glass eyes shimmered with madness, an eerie smile on her face. In one hand, she held a mission bell, the other reaching out for a candle.
Music played from the old phonograph, the plucking of guitar strings laced with seduction. A breeze blew in through open terrace doors, stirring the sweet scent of jasmine from the candelabras.
Two wax nymphs stood at the bar, glass eyes shining bright in the candlelight, pliable fingers wrapped around flutes of pink champagne. Lit cigarettes burned in ashtrays. From behind the bar, a winged monster served drinks.
In the center of the ballroom, two gargoyles held a pose as if they were dancing, their waxy bodies closely pressed together, their reflections glowing in the mirrored ceiling. From the old phonograph in the corner, the hypnotic music played.Tess gasped, her hand clasping her mouth. “Oh, my God!”
Mike raised his gun, circled the room. “Come out with your hands up. Hancock County Sheriff. Put your hands where I can see them.”
Morning Sharon, Mary and Lyn! Wishing great sales for Sharon's new book. It sounds great! And earie too. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better Sharon!
Sounds like someone wants Tess to appear crazy. Maybe they want her out of the house for some reason. Hmm. Guess I'll have to read it to find out.
Oops I meant eerie of course. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, welcome to Sharon's Special Roasting! We're thrilled that she's with us once more, even if only in thoght, although we're hoping she may be able to follow wht's going on with her special software, even if she can't actually comment herself.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. someone does seem to be trying to drive poor Tess mad - and I can recommend the book, it's a fantastic read, creepy and gripping - and the Sheriff is hot! (Hope he didn't hear me say that!)
Ooh a hot sheriff. Can't wait to meet him. ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, he's a wonderful hero - but Tess is smitten with him, and she's hosting the party today, so watch your step *grin*.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Tess isn't the only one with problems - there's a thief around, stealing my letters!
Well the thief has also replaced my letters with less than valuable ones. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteMonring, ladies. Sharon, everyone is praying for your full recovery and soon! HER BIGGEST FAN sounds intriguing. I can hardly wait to order it and read it! The villain sounds like my first husband--and that's scary. Anyway, while we're reading your new release, you concentrate on getting well, all the while knowing hundreds and hundreds of people keep you in their prayers. We love you! Thanks to Lynn and Mary for keeping us updated on Sharon's progress. You three are a terrific bunch of ladies!
ReplyDeleteMorning everyone. What a beautiful day and Tess, we are all gonna help you!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone believed poor Tess until we came along.
Hi Caroline, great to see you. Come and sit over here, between Mary and Tess, and we'll try and find out more about this mysterious stalker of Tess.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Mike is here as well, I'm sure he'll keep us all safe.
Oliver will be along in a minute to make sure you have something to eat and drink, and it may be dark and stormy outside, but there are plenty of candles to give us light!
Lyn I know the candles are scented with Jasmine. But I keep smelling those roses on the climbing vines. There are so many of them. I hope that rotten stalker gets caught in the thorns!
ReplyDeleteSharon is primping. She tried a new makeup and it gave her the itches. So she had to scrub it all off and put more on. TeeHee, it glows in the dark and she don't know it! That ought to be fun!
Mary, you have such a wicked sonse of humour!
ReplyDeleteYes, I can smell the roses, too. Strange, when as you say, the candles are jasmine scented. I keep seeing flashing lights!
Some more mead please, Oliver, and some more of those delivious barbequed chicken.
OMG, Sharon is back. Yeah... It's so good to see you. You look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love New England but this place gives me the willies. I hear there is a mystery going on. I love mysteries.
I forgot to say congrats, hon, on the new release. It looks like a winner.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I brought the handi wipes you have sauce all over your face.
ReplyDeleteWow, look at those freakin' lights. What the heck are they?
Mary moves behind Lyn, hoping that the shade from Lyn's shoes, will hide her. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
Autumn you do look smashing!
ReplyDeletePoor Tess is at her wits end, no one has believed her until now!
Can you hear that distant music. Very creepy. That bird on the watchtower is also very scary. He's huge!!!!
Someone is in that watchtower. Yipes!
Tess, is Sheriff Mike outside, can he see the tower from where he is?
'Shiver' it's that ball of fire we saw rolling down the hillside that worries me! I hope Mike can sort out what's going on - or perhaps one of our visitors will be able tow ok it out!
ReplyDeleteHide beneath the shadow of my shoes, Mary? Come on, not even a beetle could hide in the shadow of my little feet!
Hi Autumn! How you doing? Yes, this is a great story of Sharon's, full of mystery and sus[ense - and romance too!
Poor Lyn, she just can't face her feet.
ReplyDeleteFace her feet, get it? (grin)
Okay, I'll just stand behind you. If it don't get you, I know it's safe!
Can those lights come in here? EEEWWWWW!
Yuck, Yuck. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteSharon, are you sure you're well enough for Mary's yucks?
LOL.
Lyn, I have it on good word that Sharon will be here today. She got so tired for all the hullabaloo earlier when we arrived, she had to go take a rest. Ya know? We plum tuckered the poor thing out. I know it must be harder to get around with her blooming butt. Whoops, that slipped out. It's shapely anyways! I myself prefer my girls. They do give me a backache sometimes...
ReplyDeleteWith a flick of my right wrist the mansion doors open. My three black cats follow closely as I venture in. Their names? Sam, Tabitha, and Mab. Mike stops me at the door, and is questioning me. Me! Humph...Would someone please tell Mr. Andretti to let me pass, otherwise I fear...he may spend the rest of his days, hopping and croaking.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question:
The stalker may turn out to be a book reviewer who gave Tess' last novel a 1 star rating, lol. Sorry, couldn't help myself!
She is sooooo gonna pay me back for this. I just know it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sharon on your latest release, and I'm so glad you're celebrating at home, on the road to recovery.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! The infamous Witchy Woman, I hope you are here to help find the stalker. If it's a book reviewer we'll find them between the pages for sure!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you here, we need a little witchy help!!1 Welcome everyone, welcome and beware. Oliver has his garlic, Lyn and I, have pepper spray. Don't tell Sheriff Mike.
Witchy - how lovely to see you. It's OK Mike, I'm sure she didn't have anything to do with all these spooky happenings - although I'm sure she feels at home here!
ReplyDeleteLol, Witchy Woman -you oughta turn any reviewer who diss's Tess's book into a tiny little beetle that could get eaten by a small frog!
Hello Tam, Tabitha and Mab, you'd get on well with Tess's cat, Freddy!
Hi Patrice, thanks for coming to the party. Stay a while and Oliver will make sure you have plenty to eat and drink. Yes, it's great that Sharon's home again, and she'll be so happy to get your good wishes.
ReplyDeleteMary, sweetie, you know how much our Sharon loves you - but I think you make have to lie low for a little after that remark! :) As for your 'girls', no wonder your poor back aches, we told you that last enhancement was a step too far! :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Sharon!! Love ya' and can't wait to read Her Biggest Fan! Your books are always so awesome. Get well soon - lifting you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteAll four cats are hissing madly, their gazes locked on the terrace doors. Mab swipes her paw several times at the air in front of her, and Freddy scratches my leg accidentally. I wince in pain. I think someone was on that terrace!
ReplyDeleteI down a quick martini, and grab Mary's arm. Let's go investigate!
Lyn and Mary, you girls rock, you did such a good job, it's SCARY! You sisters did such a bang up job at recreating Tess' haunted mansion, it's frightening.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I can't really be with you all today. I am here, but still unable to type. So I am getting help to post this.
Cindy, Caroline,Audumn, Witchy Woman, Patrice and Marianne, thank you all for your well wishes. "Come on everyone, we have work to do!" Sharon gathers the troops and gives everyone instructions.
"Search this place from top to bottom, and find out where that music is coming from! Let's split up and get going."
-Posted for Sharon, by Mary-
"Come on Witchy Woman, I'm with you. The rest of you pair up with someone and let's start searching."
ReplyDelete"Lyn stay with Sharon and, Tess'you take Patrice and check the ballroom!" Everyone madly starts to search. Oliver follows Tess' and Patrice...
The search is on!!
I'm here, I'm here! Ready to look. Who's my partner--because this place is creepy.
ReplyDeleteOh it's so good to have you back again, Sharon, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteOK, Cindy, you stay with me and Sharon. let's go along this corridor and see where it leads!
i'm with you!
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden, Tess comes flying out of the ballroom, Patrice just a step behind her and their faces white as ghosts!
ReplyDelete"Everyone come quick!" Tess leads them back to the ballroom. Lyn's "Petite", feet making the loudest echo in the hallway, Mary's jugs jiggle, and Sharon's but shakes, as they make a beeline for the room.
"Look at the gargoyles, see, see, I told you and no one believed me!" Tess catches her breath. "Now maybe someone will." She gazes directly at Sheriff Mike. Then looks down.
The grotesque sight of two was gargoyles dancing in the middle of the room freaks everyone out. Poor Oliver hits the floor as he passes out, the strong smell of garlic is released as he crushes some of what he has put into his pockets and the ring about his neck. Sharon walks to Oliver, staying well away from the wax figures posed around the room. An old Victrola plays, Moonlight Sonata.
"So that's where it's been coming from." Sheriff Mike warns them not to touch anything and he begins to search for clues.
"Oliver get with the program," Sharon wakes him with a tap on the cheek. "Just go make some Martini's, we'll all meet in the sitting room. We have to find Tess' stalker!! Honestly Oliver, it's not a vampire! Please get rid of the garlic, will you?" Sometimes Sharon gets a bit embarrassed by Oliver. But my goodness dancing gargoyles!!!

Nice. :D
ReplyDeleteHi, Irish Rose, welcome to the party. You've arrived at the exciting bit! We're safe though (I think), that hunky sheriff, Mike Andretti is on the case!
ReplyDeleteHey, all. As you wander the mansion, keep your eyes open because there are secrets hidden throughout. Don't want to give anything away but you have to really be watching so you don't miss a thing - - or wind out someplace you never intended!!
ReplyDeleteLyn waves 'Hi Marianne', sorry I didn't see you there - the lights keep going out and the candles are flickering so much. I hope Oliver's been looking after you and making sure you get soem refreshments. I think it may be a long night!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori - so glad you came by! I'm sure Sharon will be thrilled to see you. Thanks for the warning, there are so many twists and turns and it's a little bit scary. I hope Mike catches the stalker soon!
ReplyDeleteI just wish that I could keep the cobwebs out of my face. Oliver, please be a dear and brush them away from me.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sharon! Welcome home. You had us worried. So glad to have you back. And just in time for the party! HER BIGGEST FAN is one of those wonderfully Gothic tales in all the best sense. Creepy, mystery-filled, and with a handsome sheriff. What's not to love?!?
ReplyDeleteMary and Hywela, thanks for keeping us all up-to-date on Sharon's progress. Cheers to all three of you!
Hurray, Sharon! Happy release day. Your excerpt is great. Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteAll of a sudden Sharon screams!! Then Lyn and finally Mary joins in!
ReplyDelete"There is someone here, I feel the eyes staring at me. Watching us all!" Soon all the guests are screaming, they all feel the eyes!
"Oliver, please get us all a martini, we're freakin' out here."

ReplyDeleteWitchy Woman, we love cats. They fit right in. Smarter than some humans!Tess' cat Freddy saunters out to welcome the other felines.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly the lights go out and another round of screaming follows.
"He's here." Tess declares. "Oh Sheriff Mike. You have to find the stalker. I can't take much more. At least now you believe me."
Mike puts his hands on her shoulders and looks into her lovely eyes.
"We're gonna figure this out. Tess I believe you."

Sharon eyes her guests and they glisten with her emotions.
ReplyDelete"Thanks for coming, it means so much to me. Tess needs our help. Who do you think the stalker is."
Sharon looks at everyone.
"Mary stop adjusting your jugs, they haven't fallen out yet, so I think your okay for today. And Lyn quit tripping over your feet, we have work to do!!!" Sharon stands tall and nods to each person. "Let's go search this place with a fine tooth comb!"
Posted for Sharon by Mary-
lol Lori. That Oliver doen't need a second invitation, does he!
ReplyDeleteI used a spell to bring us the drinks; Oliver's still out. Oh, no need to place the drinks on the table-my spell keeps them hovering in the air.
ReplyDeleteWell, our search of the terrace only led us to air. And the screaming...led me to all you screaming banshees in the sitting room. Downing my 3rd martini, I'm now seeing 8 cats instead of 4. Uh...Lyn. Lyn where are you? Pssst, does that black crow look as if he's watching us?
Witchy, I think you need to sit down for a bit, until you feel better. It's OK, Oliver's come round now, he's busy wiping the cobwebs out of Lori's eyes!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right though. That big black bird does look like he's watching us -I love birds, but that one's creepy!
Sharon's right too - we need to get to workto crack this mystery!
What a great party! Oliver you look almost as good as Sharon. I do wish you'd get rid of the garlic though. And what's with the fainting? You must have tripped over one of the cats...yes, that it. Sharon, you look fabulous! I wish many sales on your new release.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm going to sneak me some of those wonderful snacks, a drink or two, and then I'll help you find the rascal that's terrorizing Tess.
I got lost in there and just found my way back. Whew!
ReplyDeleteGoodmorning from Australia ladies. Welcome back Sharon we missed you. What a spooky way to start my morning, glad it isn't night time or I'd be too frightened to go to bed. I would be dreaming of that black bird hovering over my roof and the scary music. The pizza souned nice though.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the release. Mega sales I hope.
Regards
Margaret
Cindy! Thank goodness you're OK! I wondered what had happened to you. Stay close, I'm sure we're close to flushing out the stalker!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne. Don't worry, I'm sure Sharon will persuade Oliver to get rid of the garlic - eventually! At the moment though, he insists in wearing it - he's still not convinced there are no vampires in this story, although even Tess has tried to tell him! LOL
Hi Margaret! Isn't the internet miraculous. While we're nervously peering out into the night, you're basking in the Australian sunshine! Never mind though, help yourself to pizza bites and help us track down Tess's stalker!
ReplyDeleteJello, hello, to all the new guests. I will have Oliver fix you a drink and please dig into all the snacks.
ReplyDeleteLori, so glad you made it. Yes, Oliver will be only too happy to remove the cobwebs from your hair. Be careful the dear has a problem keeping his hands where they should be.
Cindy, thank God you're here, I thought perhaps the stalker got you!
From Sharon, posted by Mary-
Her Biggest Fan sounds like a book that should be made into a movie! Loved the excerpt.
ReplyDeleteThe haunted house gif was pretty neat.
Geez, that black crow is a real menace. I step outside for a breath of fresh air and he swooped down at me nearly taking my head off. Hey does Tess have a sneaky gardener? I could have sworn I saw a shady looking character hanging around one of the outbuildings.
ReplyDeleteHi Nightingale, glad to see you here, get Oliver to help you to some refreshments. Glad you liked the haunted house image. Big houses like Tess's mansion always look creepy in a thunderstorm, don't they!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I think you'd better stay inside with us, it would be awful if that horrible bird hurt you. I don't think Tess has a gardner, she's not had the house long and I know she was trying to resurrect some of the garden herself. Perhaps it's someone who's got lost in the storm? (I don't want to think of the alternative.)
Sharon glares at Oliver, her hands on her hips.
ReplyDelete"Oliver you rascal you. I am your boss and I know you like a book! You never really thought the stalker was a vampire. The reason for all the garlic was purely self-centered. You just wanted Tess to have garlic breath so it would turn Sheriff Mike off to her. It didn't work cause Mike enjoys the pizza." Mike grins at Sharon, his mouth full of pizza as he continues to patrol the room.
Oliver shrugs his shoulders and removes the ring of garlic from around his neck.
He winks at Sharon.
Ooh, Oliver - you fraud, you. Might have known you'd have a thing for Tess. You had us all fooled - except Sharon that is. She knows you better than anyone! Ah well, we still love you, don't we ladies!
ReplyDeleteOh Nightingale, I forgot to say - I do agree about 'Her Bigget Fan' deserving to be made into a film. I've read it and it all played out in my mind exactly like a movie!
That last post I added was by Sharon.
ReplyDeleteSneaky devil, isn't he?
Mike: Where were you?
ReplyDeleteWW: I wenth onto the (hiccup) terrace after the catttzzz hissed. Then I grabbed Cindy, no, I grabbed (hiccup) Mary. Then I...(thump).
Mike: Great! Witchy's out cold. Guess I'll have to finish questioning her later.
(Mike looks out the window, and notices the crow smiling. Is that even possible?)
Oh dear, Witchy's out cold. Tess, Mike, what we gonna do?
ReplyDeleteWitchy Woman will be fine. She just overdid it, that's all! She's just resting!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much this day has meant to me. I can't wait to get back to my wonderful job of being a hostess. A special thanks to everyone for helping me celebrate the release of my book, 'Her Biggest Fan'. I am so happy that you all came by and commented.
The question still remains. Who do you think the stalker is? The best comment will win an ebook copy of Her Biggest Fan.
I continue to recuperate and I can't tell you how much your love and prayers mean to me. I am so touched.
Thanks everyone, and Oliver help Witchy Woman up and lets get her settled. Whatever you do, don't let her do any spells while she is this way. Coffee anyone?
I will continue to read your comments, and will decide who wins by Sunday. Thanks everyone!!!

Sharon congrats on the new release and so glad you are coming out of the bad stuff now. I wishs great sales. I don't have much time to stay here, but wanted to wish you the best kiddo.
ReplyDeleteLove and blessings
Rita
Sharon, I'm so glad to see you and Oliver reunited. He actually behaved while you were away. Can you believe that? If so, I have some ocean front property in Tennessee...
ReplyDeleteMy main concern now is for Tess' welfare. Do you think the sheriff is sharp enough to protect her from gargoyles and such?
Eerie story. Girlfriend, your gift for spine-tingling drama amazes me. I can see this one as a move--Alfred Hitchcock style. Yikes!
Hi Everyone,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're home again, Sharon. Tess has a peck of troubles and needs your great research and investigative abilities to unravel this mystery. And poor Oliver has been lost without you.
What a fantastic party and Laurean don't hog all the Devil's Food Cake.
Sharon, I can't wait to see where you take Oliver next. Lord knows that he is always up for a new adventure! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Sharon, Lyn, and Mary. It's almost the witching hour where I live and I'm just getting to the party. Oh, what a witchy story you've created, Sharon. And I just know it will be a big success. But I'm eager for the story about dear Oliver. Love that guy. (sigh) Any chocolate cake left? I thought not. I've really, really missed you, Sharon. Hurry back to us. Meahwhile, party on celebrate your book and getting better. I'm out of here. This creepy stuff is going to give me nightmares for sure.
ReplyDeleteHey - I made it! Where's Oliver - where's my drink - where is everybody!!!!
ReplyDeleteSharon, we've missed you!
Sharon, sweetie, you have been missed a great deal. I pray for you a full recovery. Thanks to you, Mary and Lyn, for keeping us in the loop.
ReplyDelete"Her Biggest Fan" sounds like a wonderful book! I can't wait to read it.
Yes, Oliver, I'll have a slice of that pizza. Smells wonderful. And a glass of champagne. *Raises her glass* Here's to you, Sharon, welcome back.
Well, I was about to leave a comment but I think I'd best run around to switch all the lights back on and play some jolly singalong music after all that fear and suspense! This story sounds FABULOUS!! Sharon, so glad to hear from you, and thanks to all yopur chums for setting up your roasting! Keep on getting well. :-)

The golden fingers of morning filter through the morning mist. Lyn awakes and looks at the assembled guests in various stages of slumber around the room. she and Mary and Sharon shared a long, low couch - it was a bit cramped, good job they're such good friends!
ReplyDeleteTess is sleeping peacefully with Mike's arm around her and her head on his shoulder. It seems he scared off the stalker last night - but does he still linger in the grounds. Is the great black bird still sitting on top of the watchtower? Will she disturb Mary and Sharon if she tiptoes to the window to take a peek and find out?
There's a clattering from the kitchen and the aroma of breakfast cooking. Oliver , having discarded his necklace of garlic is obviously preparing breakfast. He'll have his work cut out with all these guests - and we're going to keep right on partying over the weekend. Lrt's hope we manage to solve the mystery and catch the stalker by the time Sharon announces the winner of her book.
Witchy seems to be sleeping normally now, thankfully, and everyone she inadvertently changed into a toad is now back in their proper form :)
And look, new guests have arrived! Hello Rita, Laurie, Rebecca, Patsy, Linda, Tiffany and Jane. And hello again Lori, yes we all love Oliver, he's nothing if not versatile!
And thanks to Mary for acting as 'go-between' for Sharon, it was wonderful having you back again, dear Sister-hostess-friend, and we can't wait until you're able to join us propely again.
Oh - and I have an announcement!
ReplyDeleteWe now have 100 followers!
Sue - Katsrus - thanks for being our 100th follower!
This whole story just sounds way too creepy! Glad I'm not Tess! All the best and may happy sales to you, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteYike! I've decided I couldn't read this book late at night! I'm spooked just reading the excerpts. Great job, Sharon!!
ReplyDeleteHi Liana and Judy, thanks so much for stopping by. Yes, this book is full of suspense and has its creepy moments for poor Tess, but it's a thrilling and very enjoyable read, which will keep you guessing until all is revealed at the end
ReplyDeleteHello Ladies,
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late coming to the party. I had no power yesterday. Hopefully "better late than never" is okay!
Sharon, you are a sight for sore eyes. We've missed you, wonderful girl. Congrats on your new release!
Oliver, honey, don't you worry one little bit, I'll protect you from whatever comes along -wink-.
Lovely party, as always, ladies.
Hey Sharon :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your feeling better, here's hoping for a speedy & complete recovery hun.
I think the stalker is (DuhduhDuh duh!)Oliver's evil twin,James, who has been locked in the basement since he was a child with just the phonograph, a recording of Moonlight Sonata and a BIG bird for company. James has escaped & is now dressing in a gargoyle costume and is fixated on Tess. James having escaped from the basement would know the layout of the house ;)
Poor Oliver is scared silly of his psychotic brother and is being forced to aide him.
Congrats on the book release, I've gotta get it!!
Mindy :)

Hi Debra, welcome to the party. No problem, we're keeping the doors open until Sunday night!
ReplyDeleteYes, we're so pleased to have Sharon with us again, and we're all praying that she'll soon be able to come back again properly to take her place as our sister hostess again.
(we've missed her terribly too!)
Hi Mindy!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you again, thanks for calling by! What an intersting theory about Tess's stalker. And as for Oliver - that explains a lot! (wink)
Hi Sharon! Your book sounds fantastic and I love a good halloween tale :-) I wish you continued best wishes as you walk the path toward good health. Think happy thoughts!
ReplyDeleteAs a former New Englander, I'm intrigued! What a suspensful, eerie and wonderful excerpt! And with a fabulous cover to go with it! Sharon, congratulations on the release. All the best and many hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra and Alison,
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of Sharon and Tess, thank you so much for stopping by and for your good wishes. Glad you enjoyed the excerpt - and that cover is so striking, isn't it!
Well hello everyone. I was worried about Witchy Woman passing out. Hope she's okay, Oliver's James Bond martinis no doubt!
ReplyDeleteSharon has asked me to post this message:
Hello dear friends, I have chosen two winners of my ebook. The first is Mindy, I loved her comment the best! And CatsRus for being our 100th follower! I hope you enjoy it. Please tell us your email address' and a copy will be sent along to you.
Congratulations ladies!
And thank God Oliver got rid of that garlic!
By the way Lori, you know where Oliver's next adventure takes place. It's 'Charade Of Hearts', Oliver's story! Which will soon be available.
Thank you my sisters, Lyn and Mary, for all you have done. I love you both!!!
Sharon-We love you more...
Sharon said other nice things to me. But I think Lyn and I are happy to help her. Her friendship is reward enough for us!
Thank you all for coming to the blog. You have made Sharon very happy! You are all the best...
ReplyDeleteLate to the party as usual, but wanted to stop by and with Sharon all the best with her new release! Great excerpt!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. :-)
Wha...where am I? Ugh, Oliver's martinis must've been a little too heavy on the vodka side. (Hope Tess is allright, and that she's safe in Mike's arms.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners: Mindy and CatsRus.:)I'm flying back home now.
@Sharon: Hi, Sharon. Congrats on your new release. Can't wait to read it! Take care of yourself, and don't worry...your fans will still be here when you return.

Woo-hoo! Congratulations on the great turnout for your roasting party, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteWhat? No second helpings on the cake? Rebecca, quit slapping my hand! I'm just swiping up the crumbs.
Sheesh! Can't a girl clean off the plate without someone trying to steal it from her?
Hi Sharon, Hywela and Mary :)
ReplyDeleteYou ladies ROCK!
